The
SCI Badgerland Chapter is in the process of developing a Sensory Safari
Trailer for use within Wisconsin. The Sensory Safari Trailer will be
used at educational, sportsmen and other events within Wisconsin to
showcase Safari Club International to the general public for hunter
awareness, membership growth and event promotion. We believe that SCI
should be visible at gatherings of substantial numbers of hunters,
sportsmen and youth outdoors events where SCI can project our hunter’s
rights, conservation, education and humanitarian message.
The 24’ x 8.5’ trailer
is in hand and furbishing has been started. It is anticipated
that the cost of the completed trailer, with mounts and displays, will
exceed $20,000. The State of Wisconsin SCI Chapters have contributed in
excess of $11,000 for work this year with the anticipation of completing
the project next year.
To enable earlier completion, and to
get the SCI message out quicker, we are soliciting donations from
members. Donors, who contribute $100 or more, will be individually
recognized on a plaque located within the Trailer.
The SCI Northeast Wisconsin Chapter
supports this project and urges participation by members. Interested
donors should contact the Badgerland Chapter, c/o Mr. Dave Ekkebus
